After a few months of development, welcome to United Way’s new website. We hope the new design and layout will make it easier to find information on United Way, our member agencies, and services available in our community.
We hope you will find our new site easier to navigate and read as we work to provide you with more of the information you want and need in a package that is user-friendly and uniquely UWCIL.
Look for additional information and features in the coming weeks as we continue to add historical information and build our new resources section. In the coming days, we will be adding staff bio’s, photo galleries & news coverage from past events and adding our Community Builders to our leadership giving & recognition pages.
We are most excited to begin adding information to our resources section. Last year, 2-1-1 received more than 3,000 from residents in our region looking for community resources, and our office fielded hundred more. In our community, United Way is most often the first stop when a family needs help, and we want to make sure we have resources available, regardless of whether a family is placing a phone call or searching the internet.
The resources section will offer a new avenue for people to find educational information and local resources on a variety of topics. Whether information on utility assistance, summer camp programs, or educational resources for families, our goal is to make sure we have information available for whatever needs a family may have; and better prepare them when they call 2-1-1 for a referral. In addition to community resources, the website will also provide resources for nonprofit organizations.
In the meantime, make yourself at home and look around. Visit the blog, to read recent community and UW news. If there’s something you can’t find or would like to see on our site moving forward, just drop me a note.
Thanks for dropping by, and we hope to see you again soon.
