United Way of Central Illinois celebrates 100 years serving the community

1922 – 2022 – A Century Of Helping People

United Way of Central Illinois has a long history of serving the Sangamon and Menard County communities. We are searching our archives and finding campaign history, detailed documents, and numerous photos. We will be posting more photos here as well as on our social media pages.

We began in 1922 as a group of people who wanted to make a difference in the community and support each other. While our name and logo have changed over the years, our mission has always held the same power – improving lives by uniting our community to address the basic needs, education, financial stability and health of every person.

As we look back at the last 100, we also are looking ahead to the future. Our work is not done. We are working to build better community partnerships in order to make the Central Illinois community better for all individuals and families.
