After months of closure McDonald’s on Chatham Road will reopen with a ribbon-cutting and flag-raising ceremony (by local VFW Post 755 Color Guard). At that time, the store also will present donation checks to United Way of Central Illinois, Central Illinois Foodbank and Sandburg Elementary School.
After months of construction, a new Chatham Road McDonald’s building — which replaces a 31-year-old structure — will open at 6 a.m. Thursday.
“We are so proud to provide a brand-new store for our customers and employees,” said Revella Kasprzyk, who owns and operates the McDonald’s restaurant at 3055 Chatham Road with her husband, Joe.
The building will feature double drive-through lanes, a digital menu board, a self-service beverage bar, free Wi-Fi, updated kitchen equipment and a modern design both inside and outside. There is seating inside for 70 and separate stations at the front counter for ordering and receiving food.
