Financial Stability funding applications now being accepted

United Way of Central Illinois seeks qualified applicants committed to providing individuals and families the education, skills and supports needed to lead financially stable lives.

This Request For Application (RFA) is a first step toward establishing a cohesive strategy, in partnership with our community, to address the multiple needs of individuals and families in the area of financial stability.  Please review the priorities and strategies to determine if you are aligned with this funding opportunity. Adults are equipped to support themselves and/or their families in a financially stable environment Seniors are supported to lead independent lives
  • Provide case management, coaching, mentoring, and/or other methods to help individuals obtain safe and affordable housing (housing of choice)
  • Provide case management, coaching, mentoring, and/other methods to help individuals overcome barriers to employment
  • Provide case management, coaching, mentoring, and/or other methods to help individuals increase their money management skills
  • Provide case management, coaching, mentoring, and/or other methods to help seniors sustain safe and affordable housing
  • Provide case management, coaching, mentoring, and/or other methods to help seniors effectively manage their money

Grant Orientation (Optional)

4556039c-c732-49f8-994a-128fb9bff03eGrant Orientations are optional for applicants. The orientations serve as a way for applicants to get to know the United Way funding process and understand the nuances of the online grant platform. At each orientation the first 45 minutes will introduce you to the open registration process, the online grant platform, the application review process, and the Financial Stability Priorities and Strategies. The second 45 minutes will be used as a deeper dive to thoroughly review the online grant platform.

  1. Read the RFA.
  2. Review the Financial Stability Sample Application.
  3. Read the Community Investment Policies and Procedures.
  4. Register online beginning February 3rd here.
  5. Submit eligibility documentation and complete registration no later than February 17th.
  6. If accepted, Applications will be due March 17th.
