Andrea Fuchs, an employee of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, was recognized by United Way as its 2015 Get Connected Volunteer of Year at United Way’s Annual Meeting last Thursday. The volunteer of the year award recognizes one outstanding volunteer for their valuable and selfless commitment to not only United Way, but our entire nonprofit community.
“Andrea has quietly served our community, not for attention, but for the satisfaction of making a difference”, said Mike Johnson, regional president at U.S. Bank. U.S. Bank sponsors United Way’s Get Connected website and volunteer award.
Andrea has served our community, not only through her personal volunteering, but also through her efforts to engage, support and coordinate all Wells Fargo volunteer efforts. Among those efforts are blood, food and clothing drives. Last year alone, Andrea coordinated more than 3,600 hours of volunteer time.
Andrea participates in many volunteer activities including United Way’s Days of Action, where she also serves on the planning committee, holiday drives and meals on wheels in her local community.
In addition, she serves as the chair for Wells Fargo Community Support Campaign which includes coordinating the organization’s Annual Golf Outing & other activities for staff to participate in to raise money for our local nonprofit organizations.
Andrea’s coworkers describe her as an ‘active mother and grandmother who tries to put others first, often sacrificing her time, talent and treasure for the betterment of others’.
Congratulations to Andrea Fuchs and thank you for your commitment to our community.
